CONSTANTINVS MAX AVG Diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of ConstantineI to right. Rev.VICTORIA CONSTANTINI AVG / SMAN Victory walking left, holding trophy with her right hand and palm with her left; to left, chrysmon; to right, LXXII. C.605. Depeyrot48/1. RIC98. Very rare. Minor scrape on the obverse, otherwise, extremely fine. The figure LXXII (= 72) in the field on the reverse refers to the weight standard of 72 to the pound on which this coin was struck. Such denominational marks are very uncommonly found on Roman gold coins.
