Constantinus I
Obverse Legend: CONSTANTI NVSMAXAVG
Reverse Legend: SPES PVBLIC - Standard, with three dots,
impaling serpent and surmounted by Christogram.(CHI-RHO)
A in field under SPES
Condition:
Obverse: F+: Has three old deep scratches, the first part of
legend CONSTANTI is better readable
than the second half. But also this half can be seen with the
right light direction.
Reverse: aVF: All parts good visible except the P in Public
The coin has a black patina. The colour is more even than the
picture shows

17 mm diameter, 2,94 gram
This is one of the classic rarities of the Constantinian series.
