Description
This piece was minted at Constantinopolis between 327 and 328 AD,
during the reign of Constantine I, who ruled from 307-337 AD.
Constantine is best known as Rome's first Christian emperor,
whose newfound faith is said to have led him to victory over the
usurper Maxentius. He is also responsible for the Edict of Milan,
which granted religious tolerance to the subjects of the empire.
The obverse of this type depicts the rosette-diademed head of
Constantine facing right, with legends CONSTANTINVS.MAX.AVG. The
reverse type features Roma, helmeted, seated left on shield,
holding long sceptre and Victory on globe in right hand, with
legends GLORIA.ROMANORVM. The mint mark CONS appears in the
exergue, with oficina letter in lefft field. Coin shows some
slight reverse patination, but otherwise grades a very choice
Near EF, with sharply detailed devices, bold legends, and
attractive surfaces that even show hints of the original
silvering. A very choice example of this rare type, catalouged as
RIC VII 23, and listed as Rarity-2. All coins guaranteed genuine
without limitations. Buyer pays postage/insurance, coin shipped
on clearance of funds. PA residents please add appropriate sales
tax. Visa/MC now accepted for purchases over $20. Member ANA,
PAN. Thanks!

Details for the seller and high bidder(s):
The seller should contact the winning bidder(s) with information on the
total cost, including shipping, and where to send payment. The winning
bidder(s) must pay the seller directly for the item(s), and it is the
seller's responsibility to fulfill the order when payment terms are met.
The binding contract of the auction is between the winning bidder and the

If the seller is unable to establish contact with the high bidder within 3

business days, the seller may contact the next highest bidder. Therefore,
if the high bidder does not contact the seller within 3 business days of
the end of the auction, he/she may lose the place as winning bidder, and be
at risk for receiving negative feedback and/or a Non-Paying Bidder warning,
both of which can ultimately lead to suspension from eBay.
