Constantine I AE Follis, 330-335 AD.
Obv: CONSTANTI-NVS MAX AVG, rosette-diademed, draped & cuirassed bust right
Rev: dot GLOR-IA EXERC-ITVS, two soldiers holding spears & shields with two
standards between them, O on banners, mintmark: dot SMHB dot
RIC VII Heraclea 131, rated R2.
Note: RIC describes the "legend dot" as being in the left field, but checking
back several years ago with the Director of Numismatics of Vienna Museum
(where the only other examples known at the time were housed), revealed
that the dot is at the start of the legend, as on this coin.
