Description
Flavius Valerius Constantinus (Constantine the Great) was the
powerful ruler of the Roman Empire from A.D. 308 to 337. This
coin is a commemorative issue of his foundation of the city of
Constantinople in A.D.330 and is from the period A.D.332-333.

Obverse: IMP CONSTANTINVS P F AVG, cuirrased laureate bust right
Reverse: SOLI INVIC-TO COMITI, Sol standing left, raising right
hand, globe in left hand, chlamys across left shoulder
