Perfect Mint-state Beautiful camp-gate of Constantine the
Great. (#906)

This is a beautiful example of this popular camp-gate type. In
perfect mint-state condition, beautifully and perfectly centered
and a high relief strike on both sides. Obverse reads
CONSTANTINVS MAX AVG (this is the only camp gate I have seen so
far with such obverse inscription) and reverse PROVIDENTIAE AVGG
(two GG on reverse refers to the presence of two avgusti in the
empire). Perfect portrait, much less stylized than usually. No
scratches or any problems whatsoever. The best camp-gate I have
ever handled. Sorry about the opening price - for anythng less
than that I will leave it in my own collection. Cleach here to
