Roman Empire. Constantine I (The Great). A.D. 307-337. AE Follis.
7.60 grams. Struck in Trier A.D. 307. Obverse: FL. VAL.
CONSTANTINVS NOB. C. Bust, laureate and cuirassed, r. Reverse:
GENIO POP. ROM. Genius standing l., head towered, loins draped,
r. hand holding patera, l. cornucopiae; to l., S; to r., A; in
exergue, PTR. RIC 212, 719b. Extremely Fine with two small weak
areas on reverse.
Note: This coin is part of a very special private collection from
the east. This collection focused on fine portrait styles, high
grade material and very nicely toned coinage.
