XP - Rare Constantine I - SAPIENT PRINCIP

* Constantine Ist as Augustus 307-337 AD, AE Quarter
Follis, Trier Mint c. 313-315 AD, 0.71gr, 13mm.
* Obv: CONSTANTINVS AVG; bare headed, right facing
bust of Constantine.
* Rev: SAPIENT PRINCIP; Altar with bird, spear across
altar, shield to left, helmet to right; PTR in
exergue.
* RIC VII Trier #65 (R4), Van Meter #70, Unlisted in
Sear.
* Another rare and interesting type coin for the
Constantinian collector. This smallest of all
Constantinian types is very tough to find. Do have
one of these in your Constantine type collection?
