Description
Nero. AD 54-68. AE Sestertius (26.91 g, 8h). Lugdunum (Lyon) mint. Struck circa AD 65. Laureate head right, globe at point of bust / Annona standing right, holding cornucopiae, and Ceres seated left, holding cornucopiae and grain ears over modius on garlanded altar; bow and branch on ground before; ship's poop in background. RIC I 430; WCN 416. VF, attractive dark green and brown patina, reverse struck with cracked die, areas of minor pitting and smoothing.
