c. 65. NERO CLAVD CAESAR AVG GER P M TR P IMP P Laureate head of Nero to right, with globe at the point of the bust. Rev. DECVRSIO S C Nero, wearing military dress, on horse prancing to left, carrying spear; behind, soldier on horseback to left, carrying vexillum. BMC 311 var. BN 71 var. C. 86 var. (all those with IMP P P). RIC 395. WCN 403. A rare variety. A well-struck, beautiful coin with a lovely, olive-green patina. Extremely fine.
